Shipping and Delivery
How much will postage be?
We charge a flat rate for all deliveries:
- £4.95 for delivery in the UK
- £15.50 for international delivery
Please note that international deliveries may be subject to import duties, tariffs, taxes and delivery charges once your order reaches your country. These charges vary by desitination and are the responsibility of you, the buyer.
When will I get my order?
UK Delivery
- Please allow around 5 working days for your order to arrive.
- We will always aim to post your order within 3 working days of purchasing.
- Your order will be shipped using the Royal Mail 48 Tracked service, which aims to deliver within 2-3 working days.
International Delivery
- Please allow around 10-24 working days for your order to arrive.
- We will always aim to post your order within 3 working days of purchasing.
- Your order will be shipped using the Royal Mail International Tracked service, which aims to deliver within 7-21 working days.
Do you ship to the EU and NI?
Unfortunately, no. Due to recent changes to EU GPSR regulations we are not currently able to ship to the EU or Northern Ireland.
In the meantime we’d love to welcome you to our market stalls in Edinburgh if you get the chance to visit!
Do you ship to other International locations?
Yes we do! Other than the EU and NI, we ship around the world.
My order hasn't arrived! What can I do?
Oh no! If your order is missing or taking much longer than the expected (5 working days for UK orders; up to 24 working days for international orders) please get in touch with us at hello@barkandhare.co.uk -
we will make every effort to track it down.
Please keep in mind:
- There may be some delays during busy postal seasons such as Christmas time.
- Providing an incorrect or incomplete postal address may cause delays. Please check that all the details you provide are correct at checkout. If a parcel is returned to us due to errors with the postal address you may incur additional charges.
Returns
Do you offer returns?
We are a small team of three who make and pack your order ourselves. We hope your order will always meet our own high standards.

Can I exchange my item for a different size?
Yes, this is possible. However the customer will be responsible for the additional shipping costs. Please double check our sizing chart before placing your order, or if you are still unsure email us at hello@barkandhare.co.uk and we’ll help you avoid unnecessary costs!
Our products
Who makes the items in your store?
We do! We are a small, but perfectly formed team of three based in Edinburgh. We design and make all our tartan items.
Our Pet spa products are also made in Edinburgh by the local soap maker Eira Soaps.
Where is your tartan made?
All our fabic is woven in mills here in the UK. Our Poly-Viscose tartan used in our classic collection is woven by a family-owned mill in Yorkshire. Our Wool tartan is woven in the Scottish Borders.
